Internet Safety

When you are on the internet, it is important to stay safe and stick to our internet rules of safety. Read the tips below and if have other questions about what you should or shouldn’t do when you are on the Internet, ask a parent or other trusted adult.

  1. Never give your full name, birthday, where you go to school, home address, what time your parents get home from work, etc.
  2. Never talk to someone online that you don’t already know in person.
  3. Never open an attachment without knowing the person that sent it to you.
  4. Never give personal information that would help a person find you.
  5. Talk to your parents, whoever takes care of you, or an adult your trust if someone keeps asking for your personal information, or if you feel like someone is following you or makes you feel uncomfortable.
  6. Be safe and HAVE FUN ON THE INTERNET, but be sure to spend time with friends and family you can see face to face.
  7. Think “DO THE RIGHT THING” all the time and you will make better decisions in life.
  8. Let an adult you trust know what is going on in your life.
